Reese needed to be restrained by teammates in a flash point during the game with Clark’s Indiana Fever.

She was knocked to the ground by what she later described as “a basketball play.”

But in the heat of the moment she got up and seemingly chased after Clark.

Teammates intervened before the incident boiled over into something bigger.

A lip-reader watching ESPN’s coverage has apparently revealed what an angered Reese yelled.

“You crazy as f**k,” Reese is claimed to have shouted by lip-reader NJ Hickling.

The former LSU star also allegedly said, “You f***ing grab! Grabbing like that.”

Reese later tried to play down the incident when she was asked about it by reporters.

She said in her press conference, “Basketball play, refs got it right, move on.”

Clark also made light of the moment during Saturday’s showdown.

The Fever star said, “Let’s not make it something that it’s not.

“It was just a good play on the basketball.

“I’m not sure what the ref saw to upgrade it, and that’s up to their discretion.

“It’s a take foul to put them at the free-throw line.”

Clark added, “I’ve watched a lot of basketball in my life, that’s exactly what it was.

“I wasn’t trying to do anything malicious.

“That’s not the type of player I am.

“It’s just part of basketball. It is what it is.

“She was trying to make a play on the ball and get the block. It happens.”

The Fever ran out dominant 93-58 winners in both teams’ season-opener.
